My husband has finally convinced me to create a blog to share my ideas.  I have been teaching for 9 years.  The first 3 years I taught 6th grade science in Carrollton, Texas.  My husband took a job which moved us to Lubbock, Texas, where I was a science coordinator for an elementary school.  Three years ago we moved back to the Dallas area and I went back to the same Middle School I started at, although this time I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  Currently I teach three regular 8th grade science classes and two classes of TAKS Science, which is a class I designed to help students who are struggling in science. 

A few weeks ago I completed my Master’s degree.  Nothing has had a greater impact on my teaching than the exposure to educational research that I experienced during the process of getting this degree.
